At Bohn Body Armor, we are committed to delivering high-quality products designed for your safety and peace of mind. This Limited Warranty outlines the terms and conditions under which we guarantee our products against defects in materials and workmanship.

Warranty Coverage

Duration:
Bohn Body Armor warrants that each product purchased directly from us or through our authorized dealers is free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase.

What’s Covered:
Defects in materials and workmanship that occur under normal use. Repair or replacement of the defective product is at our discretion.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, negligence, accidents, or improper care.
  • Damaged that is caused to the garment or person by garment not fitting correctly
  • Defects or failures due to unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations.
  • Damage caused by environmental conditions, including but not limited to, extreme temperatures, moisture, or exposure to chemicals.
  • Normal wear and tear.

NOTE: Over the years we have had many customers say their product was defective. In all cases (except for a few popped seams at the neck on our Cool-Air™ shirt) these issues upon investigating, have been user error. 

Here are some examples that are not covered:

  • If your zipper gets caught in clothing (shirt, sock etc.) it can cause the teeth to move out of place making it hard for the zipper to move up and down. You can fix this by looking closely at the zipper teeth and gently moving that prong back into place
  • Laying your sleeve over a hot pipe and claiming it's defective is not warrantied
  • Fading from the sun can happen over time. If you ride 25K miles in the hot sun and wind every year, any fabric is going to fade. The fabric shell replacements are less than $100. A well made shirt on Amazon is about the same. We offer inexpensive replacements so that you can replace them as needed.
  • If the item seems stretched out and you have only worn it a short number of times, please wash it. 
  • If you are starting to see the lycra pop through/out of the fabric, this means that it has been used well OR you have left sweat, dirt and debris on the elastic for too long and the Lycra has dried out
  • If the armor is crumbling, you need to replace it. It has expired. Armor lasts approx 5-10 years. 
  • Flannel is not meant to be put in the dryer—it will shrink
  • If you pull your pants on and you tug too hard, you are going to rip them
  • Pilling of lycra fabric can happen if there is something rubbing on the fabric. Pilling does not magically happen.
  • Velcro will snag Lycra™, however it won't affect the products effectiveness of the product
  • Armor that has cracked is not covered under warranty (see pictures below). Please see armor care instructions on individual armor pages.

Warranty Claim Process
If you believe your Bohn Body Armor product is defective and qualifies for warranty service, please follow these steps:

Evaluation:
Our team will review your claim and may request additional information or photographs of the defect.

Resolution:
If your claim is approved, we will repair or replace your product at no additional charge.

Limitation of Liability:
Bohn Body Armor’s liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of the defective product. Under no circumstances shall Bohn Body Armor be liable for injury or damage that may result from the use of the product.
