Description

Protection and Comfort:

Our neck braces are designed to minimize the risk of injuries from hyperflexion (when the neck is flung backward past its normal limits) and hyperextension (when the neck is flung forward beyond its limits).

  • Designed to prevent serious injuries that can occur when the neck overextends by keeping the head aligned properly
  • Help to relieve neck fatigue caused by the weight of the helmet

Features:

  • Low profile design makes it a comfortable yet protective piece of gear you can wear on the street, track or trail
  • Head movement is virtually unobstructed by the brace, so you may even forget it’s there once you’re riding!

Material and Design:

  • 1-inch thickness
  • Lightweight – 4.9 oz
  • Front opening with hook and loop closure for easy on-and-off
  • Fabric absorbs sweat, lining reduces chafing
  • Removable cover for easy cleaning

Our neck braces are popular with daily commuters, off-road riders, track racers, touring riders and other adventure seekers who have developed a sharp awareness that risk of injury is always present any time you’re on a motorcycle (whether it’s advanced stunts, uneven trails, other racers in close proximity, or regular street traffic you’re dealing with) and want to mitigate that risk as much as possible.

Common Questions

Q. What type of protection does this neck brace offer me?
A. Our neck braces are designed to minimize the risk of injuries from hyperflexion (when the neck is flung backward past its normal limits) and hyperextension (when the neck is flung forward beyond its limits) by keeping the head properly aligned. They also help to prevent neck fatigue that can be caused by the weight of the helmet.

Q. How do I know which size to choose?
A. The youth size is recommended for ages 2-12. The adult size is recommended for ages 13 and up. The 1 inch and 2 inch measurements refer to the thickness of the brace at the back. It tapers thinner towards the front and is adjustable around the neck so one size fits most.

Q. Is the only difference between the adult and youth sizes the thickness?
A. The differences between the youth and adult neck braces are the thickness AND the youth neck braces are actually shorter to fit smaller bodies.

Q. Will this brace interfere with my helmet?
A. The low profile design means head movement is virtually unobstructed; you may even forget it’s there once you’re riding!

Q. Would this be suitable for my 5-year-old while he rides his dirt bike? Or does he need something sturdier?
A. This is a small child sized neck brace that would fit well with a youth helmet while riding a dirt bike. We have many customers who have purchased this for their children over the years that have highly recommended it to their friends and family.

Q. Is the smaller size suited for a 2-year-old?
A. Yes, this is perfect for a 2-year-old and as they grow they will still be able to wear it for quite a few years.

Care

  • If your brace is minimally soiled, wipe with a damp cloth and mild soap and allow to air dry.
  • If your brace requires a deeper clean, remove the outer cover and hand wash in mild soap in warm (not hot) water. Rinse well and air dry. DO NOT: machine wash, tumble dry, dry clean or use bleach or fabric softeners!
  • The inner foam can be wiped clean with mild soap and water and allowed to air dry. DO NOT: place your pad in the washing machine or in a clothes dryer!
  • Once everything is completely dry, reassemble the brace and secure the opening with the hook and loop closure
