Last week my wife and me were on a ride from Guadalajara, to Los Azufres, Michoacan State, after 40 mi I noticed a weird handling of our Goldwing. We stopped, checked the front wheel, which had low pressure, broke air valve seat due an excessive enthusiast gas station guy who checked both tires just a while ago when filling up (I always perform this task by myself, but with all the gear, 2 up, and the hot weather, I allowed him to do the check and adjust, my mistake)!

So there we were, in the middle of the 15D Hwy, with a flat tire, heavy noon sun. Phoned a friend, he promised to get his trailer along with his pickup in a while, (4 hours actually). We awaited at the curb no trees, no shadows close by. We get off all the gear we could, I was using my Bohn Cool-Air Armored Pants under my riding jeans, but my wife was using a black waterproof pant, so after the long wait, I noticed how cool I was with just a light T shirt, and my jeans. My wife tried to avoid the direct sunlight on her pants, using the bike, or her silver jacket, since she felt as burning from the sun, (95F showing on the bike’s air temp meter).

It was 16:30 when my friend showed, as soon as he parked the truck, my wife grabbed a bottle of water and went inside the truck, me and my friend set the bike on the trailer, fixed it, and look for the next U-turn point, my wife asked me to search for her shorts, because she can’t stand her pants anymore, so we stopped, I went to the trailer, search for her inner bag, and she fiddled inside the cab to get rid of her black armored textile pants, me?

I felt as usual, no discomfort at all, I barely noticed any sweat and the Cool-Air Pants were not intrusive at all, and since I chose the warm weather shell, I could stand it for several more hours, when we arrived, unloaded the bike on the shop, replace the air valve, along with the front tire which got a nasty inside groove and a lot of rubber dust, it was late evening when I was able to get rid of the armor and riding pants for normal jeans.

Of course now my wife demands her own Bodyguard System, period.

I bought some Bohn Armor Pants after reading a discussion on a motorcycle forum. I am glad I purchased them as about a month later I was involved in an accident where a car disregarded a Give Way sign. Having nowhere to go I hit the car and ended up underneath my bike. I purchased the Armored Pants to compliment the level of protection I was wearing in my CE-approved textile riding jacket.

The Bohn pants fit great under my jeans as well as mesh riding pants and offer an excellent level of safety for my legs. I recently tested the lower leg (knee and shin) guards when I encountered a live alligator crossing the middle of the road. I swerved right to avoid the head and as he flipped around his tail caught me in the lower left leg.

Fortunately, I stayed on the bike and was able to ride it out. After regaining my breath well up the road, I inspected my jeans (small gash) and noted that the Bohn Armor looked like new!

Tested and passed….bike and I went down June 22nd, not a scratch and Cool-Air Mesh Pants fully protected knee and hip of side that went sliding thru the gravel.

I wish I had better boots on because I broke my ankle, but the two dogs that ran out at me survived.  Great product, and will be buying more of your products, they are so comfortable and cool in hot weather.

I’m a combo rider. I ride a TW 200 mostly on the paved roads around my scenic town of Kanab, Utah, but since my bike is a dual sport and we have gorgeous, back-country dirt roads and trails as well, when I feel adventurous, I do a little exploring. I’m 53 and this is my first bike! I took the Motorcycle Safety Education Course and being older and wiser I want to have fun but do it as safely as possible and that includes protecting myself with good gear.

I wear a helmet, a padded, mesh jacket and I bought a pair of your Bohn Armored Pants to wear under my jeans. I was recently pulling from the paved road into a gravel parking lot and a car came around the other side of the building cutting me off. I braked hard, did a little slide with the bike falling on my knee.

Luckily, neither of us were going very fast. Without your armored pants I probably would have had a bad scrape because my pants were torn. I got away with bruise. I’ll continue to wear your pants. I feel much more protected and they are actually quite comfortable.

I lowsided in a curve at 55MPH hitting some light, very hard to see sand. Lost are large portion of my Levis and some of my Bohn Armor Pants, but my 62 year old skin and bones were intact and untouched. Great product!
